So, I voted. While it seems that all over the country there are problems with voting systems, here in West Hollywood, we've got the
InkaVote, which is a bit like taking an S.A.T. test with a really cool bubble dot filler. The big change this year was that instead of dropping my ballot into a box to be scanned later, the poll workers now directly scan the vote as it's placed into the sealed ballot box. Gee- all the benefits of electronic voting with a paper copy of the ballot that leaves no doubt about the voter's intent. Why is this so difficult for the rest of the country?
On a related note- I'm jealous of my bf. His polling place? A hotel on the Sunset Strip. I bet there's in-line cocktail service.
At 5pm PST, I'll be blogging the election in real time. I hope you'll join me.
