I love playing
Mille Bornes, the "French driving card sensation" from Parker Brothers. I taught it to the bf while we were in Tulum and have been losing to him ever since. I really want to start a collection of fun and unique games. I'm particuarlly interested in collecting first or early editions of the games. The graphics are often amazing (see Mille Bornes, pictured) It's sort of a family tradition. Here's what I have my eye on.
- Diplomacy- Both Kissenger and Kennedy's favorite boardgame.
- Rook- Like Bridge, I think-- only easier.
- Stratego- My favorite two player game. Watch out for the mines!
- Cribbage- I actually own a cribbage board. Anyone want to play?
- Risk - Mainly because of that episode of Malcolm in the Middle where his family plots to defeat Malcolm at the game.
- Carcassonne- a 2001 medieval board game that's super popular in Europe.
- Tribond - a trivia game without the 'pursuit'. What do three things have in common?
- Nuclear War- It's a card game!
- Settlers of Catan - It's like Lost, only it's a board game, and there's no hatch...and it's German.
