So as to keeep my blog from being nothing but an account of people who are destroying America (see latest three blogs), here's some non-snark:
I met with my writing partner for the first time last night. I've done the writing partner thing once before (although my partner was a producer and my job was mainly fleshing out his concept so I'm not sure how much that counts), but this is the first time it's beeen an actual collaboration. I was sort of nervous because i'm better at writing about stories than I am talking about it, but the experience went surprisingly well. We both bring diffferent sensibilities and different approaches to writing to the table, but it worked really synergystically.
I realized that after five months, I had yet to finish any of the things on my New Year's list and decided that I needed to introduce some lifestyle changes if I was going to get things I wanted to do, done. Yesterday, I finally integrated the
Getting Things Done approach to my office fully. It's amazing to work in a space where everything has a purpose and a place to be. It's a huge stress relief. I still have to apply it to my email InBox, but since it's on the action item list, I'm not stressing about it.
