Also, a really great article on Kerouac in that it manages not only to recognize the essential spiritual, religious and naive qualities of Kerouac's work, but also manages to say something about them that's valuable (in this case, that Kerouac's strident attempts at spiritual ecstasy often became overcooked in their bebop stew of self-incarnated religious dogma). Kerouac would have made one hell of a blogger, though.
