Fall Movie Preview/ Martha/ T-Shirts

Catch my spiffy new Fall Move Preview in IN Mag Los Angeles on stands now or online here. For some reason, the web guy decided to use of photo from the upcoming Wallace & Gromit movie for this article, which is strange because that's not one of the movies I mention. I'm looking forward to it, don't get me wrong, but it's not- ya know...gay.

More article writing this week. Should be back on the directing music video/ writing scripts thing tomorrow. Also, I've decided to ditch my iRiver and go with an iPod Nano. I'm gonna make it my reward for finishing the Greek play, because I need to resort to bribery--on myself, when it comes to my own projects.

Martha is just a brilliant and weird TV show. I caught the second episode of the now-Oprahfied show last night at the Yalie's house (I know lot's of Yalie's, but he gets the nickname since he was first). Rather than avoiding her prison sentence, Martha revels in it. There's shots of her at the trial and getting released in the opening montage and today's episode was dedicated to foods she invented while cooking in the kitchen commisary. She shows us her home made nutmeg/cheese grater (made out of an old sardine can) and candidly admits that she never used a microwave until she was sent off to the big house. What's fascinating is that all in all, Martha's as cold and prickly as ever, but now she's up front about it.

When guest David Spade (yeah, David Spade) cracks wise about the dish taking a long time to make, but it being okay because she probably wanted to kill time in prison, Martha glares at him and says, "Yes, you do anything to pass the time." Poor David kept waiting for someone to say, "Live from New York, it's Saturday night!", but the whole thing was terrifyingly real.

I love Martha and if she turned to the television and told me to kill, I really would.
